We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Here is where we stand.
Our commitment
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a single H1 per page and a logical heading order.
- A visible skip link, visible focus indicators, and full keyboard operability.
- Text contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds in both body and interface elements.
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative illustrations marked as decorative.
- Responsive layout that reflows to 320 px without horizontal scrolling; wide tables scroll within their own container.
- Motion reduced automatically for visitors who set
prefers-reduced-motion. - Form fields with associated labels.
Known limitations
- Some third-party advertising units are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
- Older articles may contain tables that are harder to follow with a screen reader; we are revising them.
